My true passion is business, entrepreneureship to be exact.

Growing up in a household of all entrepreneurial women has provided me with greater life skills, lessons and insight than I could have ever imagined. To be surrounded by individuals who came from nothing but created opportunities and a life for themselves is a priceless lesson. I am constatnly reminded of the uphill battle and hard work that it takes to be a sucessful business person, much less entrepreneure. However, despite these difficulties, I know that having my own business is a life goal I dream of accmoplishing.

Ultimately, my ideal plan is to be a restauranteur. I am also passionate about the environment and enforcing sustainability efforts and practices in my business endeavors. I hope to one day open a sustainable, eco-friendly, farm to table restaurant.

I have had a handful of valuable experiences that have provided me with insight into the restaurant industry. From learning about real estate, interior design and architecture, to customer service, food prep, health codes and teamwork, and to the major food factory producers, government policies, food waste and farm produce, I have ventured into the many sectors the restaurant industry is comprised of.

I have gained the experiences listed above from:

- A Summer interior design program at Drexel University. I designed my own restaruant space including computer renderings, picked eco friendly materials, and working within space limitations.

- An internship at Aroma Espresso Bar in New York City. For four months, I learned the in's and out's of Aroma's business tactics and both the pretty and the ugly aspects of the food industy (see further descriptions of my responsibilities while working at Aroma in my resume).

- Attended an "alternative-break" program with American University. The select group of chosen applicants went to the midwest to learn about farming, the farmers themselves, govermental policies and a deeper look into food production and sustainability of American crops.

- Participatory member of AU's Compass Fellows from September 2013-May 2014. This club focuses on social entrepreneurship and fosters it's members in designing a business plan. The club provided workshops, mentors, and resources to learn more about social entrepreneurship.

- Consistent watching and reading sources about architecture, design, up and coming restaurants, and business tips.
